A little art, a little nature — really, who knows what else.

About Colleen

There's a moment — just after the tide has turned, when the light goes a little golden and the crowd has moved on — where I find the most honest kind of beauty. That's where I live as an artist.

I'm Colleen, the creative eye behind Beach Chair Chronicles.

Whether I'm behind a sewing machine, weaving at a loom, painting in watercolor, pressing bulbs into the earth, or simply walking the shoreline — I'm doing the same thing I do behind a camera. Creating the world I want to live in. A world full of beautiful things, made slowly and with intention, and infinitely better when shared.

This is the version of that we get to share.

My background in art history and fine arts means I come to every image with a particular way of looking — thinking about composition the way painters think about space, and light the way curators think about placement. Paired with a deep curiosity about science, systems, and what makes something genuinely beautiful — it shapes everything I make.

I'm Colleen. My home is a beach community that fills me in ways I'm still finding words for. I travel, I explore, I come back to familiar shores with new eyes — and I bring all of it here. A little art, a little nature — really, who knows what else.

I share because sharing gives me joy..
